Cindy Kline
Thank you for checking out my website. My name is Cindy Kline and I am the author of the Molly McGuire Cozy Mysteries set in the fictional town of Dooley, Ireland.
I have always loved to write, doodle, draw (even though I didn't get past the stick figure phase), and I would carry around little notebooks to write stuff down. Here I am, generations later, and I'm still carrying a little notebook around, only now it's in the form of a mobile phone! However, I do have a ton of notebooks because I am drawn to them like a magnet! I will find one, put wonderful information in it, then proceed to lose it. Then I came across a free program called Notion. I strongly suggest you check it out. It's a great organizational tool, but parts of it are very technical. I've just touched on the basics and it's great!
A little about me...
I went to Catholic School from first grade through twelth grade, then went to a technical school in Minnneapolis, Minnesota and studied travel. From 1982 - 2000, I worked for a travel agency. First as a retail agent, then I started the Quality Control Department, then worked in Groups and Meeting Planning. I left when I gave birth to my son.
In 2002, I started working for a corporation as their inhouse travel coordinator, where I worked until 2020. I had planned on working elsewhere, but Covid hit, and we were all homebound. I had tried numerous times over the years to write a cozy mystery, but didn't have enough courage to actually try to get it published. Then, when Covid hit, I figured now was a good of time as any, and published the first Molly McGuire mystery, "Welcome Home to Murder." The rest they say, is history!
